I visited the New Buffalo/ Grand Beach Area on a cold rainy day in the winter. Hiedi Brooks met us at several properties and we were most pleased with Grand Beach Charm for our needs. Although not looking it’s best that day, we arrived in August to find it in pristine condition. It has clean comfortable bedrooms and adequate indoor space for all of our family. The  pool was a dream and we enjoyed the fire pit, too. The walk to the beach was so easy, right across the street. The golf cart was appreciated by my husband who could sneak off for nine holes of golf and the kids loved their rides to the nice park and ice cream at the golf shop. Hiedi and her staff helped with all our requests from portacribs to birthday cakes. Our Chicago families were able to come in stages with the easy train ride. We enjoyed the Indiana Dunes, the Outlet shopping center and interesting New Buffalo. We were completely happy with our experience. We have already booked for next year!!!!!

I cannot tell you how much fun my family and I had over Memorial Day weekend (Friday, May 27 through Monday, May 30). We did not know what to expect as this was our first time renting the “California Living” townhome on Sheridan Beach in Michigan City. I can honestly say, we were very impressed and happy with the experience! The townhome was beautiful with plenty of space for our family of five and our friends, who also have a family of five. The townhome provided enough bedding for all ten of us and could have even fit a few more comfortably.  The walk out decks from each bedroom, were perfect and the view from the rooftop deck was amazing! We spent a lot of time just looking out at Lake Michigan and enjoying the lake breezes. We spent most of our days at the beach with our kids (five boys and one girl) and they didn’t complain once. They played at the beach all day and we couldn’t believe how soft and powder like the sand was. The view of the sunset from the beach was unreal and the Chicago skyline provided a cool backdrop. One of the most memorable days was taking all six of the kids fishing. This was the first time any of them had been fishing and they all caught a fish! It was so much to watch their faces as they reeled in their first catch. I give all the credit to the fishing rods we rented from Beach Access Vacations. What made the trip extra special was the hospitality shown to our family and our friends’ family by Hiedi and Liz. They took great care of us from our initial inquires right up until the day we left. We simply cannot thank you enough for providing our family with such a wonderful vacation experience.

The amount of time that was spent on trying to set up internet service was appreciated. Your thoughtfulness on trying to handle all the issues was about expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay here! It was great to come back from the nearby beach of Lake Michigan to showers and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked, which was great for cooking meals. We rode the rented bikes to the each almost every day, and the few we did not, we spent time at the Lighthouse Place Outlet mall just west on Highway 12, or the real lighthouse by the Michigan City Marina. We also ate at the Hacienda right next door, which I would recommend for casual dinner out. Long Beach, Indiana is a great getaway and this condo on Lake Clare was a great place to relax.
